River Delta

Services Provided: This particular exhibit represents the culmination of several different design elements which were used and debugged on other properties. The most intricate of them was the raised platform that all of the exhibit components are set on. It is four inches high, structurally sound enough to support the exhibit properties, can support people traffic, and has boxed out raceways traveling in each direction in a uniform pattern. To further complicate the construction, three of the edges are tapered down to the floor and the fourth is a radius. The other intricate element was the workstations. Each workstation was constructed with a floating cabinet that could house two computer towers, custom monitor brackets that could support large to small plasma screen monitors, a narrow aluminum spine that housed all of the required wiring, and a base wide and solid enough to prevent tipping without having to bolt the unit into the raised platform. The largest element was the central tower unit with it’s tube framed wall panels (front & back) and the tube framed canopy wings (left & right). The central frame of the tower needed to be engineered to support all of this without tipping over while still maintaining the designer’s intended industrial look. With a few minor design modifications, we were able to satisfy all design criteria.
